Juan is a truly charismatic performer: his warmth, sense of humor, and his delightful stage presence make him an instant favorite among children. His shows designed for children and families feature Juan as a solo performer or as part of a small ensemble (duo or trio) and encourage audience participation: children are asked to sing along, play rhythm patterns, and even play dancing games while singing. During his performances (which can be presented in English, Spanish or both) Juan sings and plays the guitar, and at times performs on the violin, the kena (Andean flute), or the djembe (West African drum).
